SMS Terms of Service

Referral Intel provides messaging tools for healthcare practices and healthcare offices. These SMS Terms of Service apply to text messaging programs powered by Referral Intel on behalf of participating practices.

Program description

A participating healthcare practice may send a patient an initial text message after the patient is referred to that practice. That first message may:

  • notify the patient that a referral was received,

  • provide the practice phone number and scheduling link, and

  • invite the patient to reply YES if the patient wants future reminder text messages about scheduling that visit.

If the patient replies YES, the patient may receive additional reminder text messages from that practice regarding referral intake and scheduling.

Consent

A patient is not enrolled in future reminder texts unless the patient replies YES from the patient’s mobile device after receiving the initial referral notification text.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by practice and patient activity.

Fees

Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-out

A patient may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, the patient will receive one final confirmation text and will not receive further text messages from that practice unless the patient opts in again.

Help

For help, reply HELP or contact the participating practice directly using the phone number or website included in the message.

Participating practices

Referral Intel acts as a service provider. The healthcare practice identified in the message is the sender-facing brand responsible for the patient communication, scheduling workflow, and patient support.

Supported carriers

Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by the patient’s mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes
