Referral Intel provides software and messaging tools for healthcare practices. This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Referral Intel handles personal information in connection with SMS programs powered by Referral Intel.

Information collected

In connection with referral and scheduling-related text messaging, Referral Intel and the participating practice may collect:

  • patient name,

  • mobile phone number,

  • referring office name,

  • referred-to practice name,

  • referral status,

  • consent records,

  • message history,

  • opt-in and opt-out activity,

  • timestamps, source URLs, and related audit log information.

How information is used

This information is used to:

  • send an initial referral notification text,

  • process a patient’s reply YES to enroll in future scheduling reminders,

  • send reminder messages related to referral intake and scheduling,

  • process STOP and HELP requests,

  • maintain compliance records,

  • support customer service and troubleshooting.

SMS consent

A patient is not enrolled in future reminder text messages unless the patient affirmatively replies YES from the patient’s mobile device after the initial referral notification message.

Referral Intel does not sell mobile opt-in data or consent records.
